Citizenship is the first step in the young person’s leadership journey with PCYC NSW. Participants are required to attend two camps and complete 20hrs of volunteering in between at the participants local PCYC. We aim for the volunteering within the club to be a fun and positive experience for the young person, exposing them to more of what we do and how they can contribute back to their local communities.

Citizenship camps are challenging but fun, and focus on team building, individual character building, citizenship values and an introduction into what PCYC NSW is, what we do and what can be achieved. At the completion of a Citizenship program, the young person will have gained their First Aid Certificate and will have completed 2 modules of the Certificate 1 in Active Volunteering: 1. Be an effective volunteer 2. Participate in Workplace Health & Safety.
